A patentedmanufacturing technique allows us toform countersunk, tapped holes in a thintop skin of stainless steel. The holes arenot drilled or punched, but fabricated in away that effectively “thickens” the skinin a small ring around the threads. Noinserts are used and the tapped holesare three threads deep.These tops have relatively high levelsof rigidity, as they utilize our standardsteel core. However, with their thin topand bottom skins, they cannot have therigidity and damping properties of our0.075 in.
