5 VECTOR MAGNETOMETERSThe construction of the variation house was completed on 1921. On October,1921 the Eschenhagen magnetograph DTM CIW No. 2 was installed and March 1, 1922 startcontinuous photographic recording. From January to August, 1997 were succesfully installedtwo fluxgate magnetometers, one of the Geophysics Resear Laboratory (GRL) – Univertity ofTokyo “GRL variometer”, and the other of the Earthquake Research Institute (ERI) –University of Tokyo “ RFP-523 variomenter”.Figure 4 Variometer HouseOn March 2003, with the “GRL variometer” we joined to INTERMAGNET MagneticObservatory (IMO), renamed by “INTERMAGNET variometer”, starting data transmission to“Geomagnetic Information Node” (GIN) of Edinburgh (EDI).5.1 INTERMAGNET VariometerMain variometer consisted of a set of fluxgate sensor (three vector components).The fluxgate sensor is aligned to local geomagnetic north. an Internet system providecontrol-time through U. S. Naval Observatory (USNO) and its real-time implementation.Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) also is included for temporary loose of power.
