Recordingat the Sub-Order or Great Group level along with the Family level is preferred but in some regions this willnot be feasible. The confidence levels, version and method for allocation are also recorded (Table 41, Table42, and Table 46: Method for allocating profile to the classification system (either ASC or WRB).Table 41: Confidence level for the allocation to the Australian Soil ClassificationCodeCode description– No confidence level recorded.1 All necessary analytical data are available.2 Analytical data are incomplete but reasonable confidence.3 No analytical data are available but confidence is fair.4 No analytical data and little or no knowledge of this soil.Table 42: Version of the Australian Soil Classification used for allocationCode Code description2 A Classification System for Australian Soils 2nd approximation3 A Classification System for Australian Soils 3rd approximation4 Australian Soil Classification 1st Edition5 Australian Soil Classification Revised EditionTable 43: Codes for Soil Orders in the Australian Soil ClassificationCode Soil Order Code Soil OrderAN Anthroposol KU KurosolCA Calcarosol OR OrganosolCH Chromosol PO PodosolDE Dermosol RU RudosolFE Ferrosol SO SodosolHY Hydrosol TE TenosolKA Kandosol VE VertosolTable 44: Codes for Suborders, Great Groups and SubgroupsCodeCode descriptionAA Red BR Epihypersodic DL Melanic–BleachedAB Brown BS Epic–Pedal DM Melanic-MottledAC Yellow BT Extratidal DN Melanic-VerticAD Grey BU Ferric DO MellicAE Black BV Arenaceous DP MesonatricAF Dystrophic BW Fibric DQ Mottled57
