Transport continued...Ferry ServicesPalm Beach Ferries operate a ferry service from Palm Beach to Ettalong which is located inRegion 6.The 25 minute trip on the ferry operates every 30 to 90 minutes as follows:• 6:00am – 6:15pm Monday to Friday• 8:00am – 6:40pm on Saturdays; and• 9:20am – 6:40pm on Sundays.Community transport servicesCommunity Transport services are non-profit passenger services for people who cannot useexisting private or mainstream public transport systems for reasons of age, health, disability orgeographic isolation from public transport.Volunteers and paid community transport staff use safe, modern and reliable buses, minibusesand cars (often with wheelchair access) to deliver clients to medical appointments, social outings,shopping and other personal business.Applicants for community transport services are assessed on a case-by-case basis, although asservices are limited, eligibility does not guarantee a service can be provided.Community transport services are funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and HomeCare, and administered by NSW Transport & Infrastructure.
