Clearance rates forPart I crimes, both Crimes against Persons andProperty Crimes, continue to exceed thenational average. Part I offenses are dividedinto two categories: violent and propertycrimes. Aggravated assault, forcible rape,murder, and robbery are classified as violentwhile arson, burglary, larceny‐theft, and motor- 186 -
