Dooley, County Executivewww.stlouisco.com/council(314) 615‐5440OVERVIEWThe County Executive is the Chief Executive Officerwith all executive powers of the County vested inhis Office.Article III of the St. Louis County Charter outlinesthe duties and responsibilities of the Executive:Section 3.010. The executive power of the Countyshall be vested in the County Executive. The CountyExecutive shall be elected at the general election in1982 and every four years thereafter. He shall takeoffice on January 1 following his election. He shallbe a qualified voter of the County and shall haveresided in the County for at least two years beforehis election. He shall devote his entire time to theduties of his Office.
