It is estimated that EllenWhite, over a period of some 70 years, penned some 25 million wordsof instruction, the fruitage of over 2,000 visions and dreams from theLord. Jesus Christ has thus focused a flood-light of truth and guidanceupon His end time people. Not only are His directives through EllenWhite a flood-light due to their volume, but also due to their wideavailability and ease of access, at least in developed countries.Ancient Israel was dependent largely upon the public reading of thewritings of Moses and the other Old Testament prophets, and theirmemories, for a knowledge of God’s will. There were no printingpresses, duplicators, photo copiers, or even carbon copy paper. Everyportion of Scripture had to be laboriously copied by hand andindividually copy edited. And yet, under what we consider very primitiveconditions, Israel was held accountable for the light sent them.Today, most families have several copies of the entire Bible, and usuallyin several versions. Not only are they in the printed form but also inaudio form on tapes and CDs. Not even the frenetic, time-pressedmodern life style is an excuse for not knowing God’s Word.
