Calendar of Events 2007-2008 (Cont’d)31 AUGUST 2007Bina Puri (Thailand) Ltd, a membercompany of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd signeda contract agreement with AreeyaProperty Plc, in the name of “BINA PURI-TRANSKON-DIMARA JV” to undertakethe construction of 3 blocks of 8-storeycondominiums known as the “A-Spaceproject” (ASOKE-RACHADA) with acontract sum of Thai Baht 233.93 million(approximately RM 25.32 million).30 OCTOBER 2007Bina Puri secured two contracts in Bruneiinvolving the Advance Works at the SungaiLiang Industrial Park, Belait District, BruneiDarusalam. Both contracts are expected tobe completed by August 2008 with totalcontract sum of about RM33.58 million(B$14.6 million).16 DECEMBER 2007Capital Square Condominium project wonthe Contractor Award G7 in the MalaysianIndustry Excellent Award (MCIEA) 2007,with stiff competition from other reputableprojects in Malaysia.The award presentation was held at KualaLumpur Convention Centre, YBhg Tan SriDatuk Tee Hock Seng, JP, Group ManagingDirector represented Bina Puri - Zublin JVto receive the award.16 SEPTEMBER 2007Chief Minister of Sarawak, YAB Pehin SriAbdul Taib Mahmud officiated the toppingupceremony of the new state-of-the-artDewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Complexin Petrajaya, Kuching, Sarawak. The projectis expected to be completed in June 2008.8 NOVEMBER 2007Bina Puri (Thailand) Ltd, a membercompany of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd hassigned a contract agreement with TanayongPublic Company Limited, to undertake theconstruction 3-storey apartments inSaraburi Province (Koak Yea), Thailand,under the “Low Cost Housing Project” forthe National Housing Authority of Thailand(NHA).The total contract sum is Thai Baht744 million (approximately RM 81 million).24 JANUARY 2008Bina Puri Thailand Ltd completed the 1stPhase of Bangplee Project comprising of 22blocks, 4-storey walk up apartments.The handing over ceremony was held at theproject site and were attended by MrChanyut Kosirinond, Acting PermanentSecretary, Minister of Social Developmentand Human Security of Thailand, HE MrSurapol Channoi, Deputy Governor,National Housing Authority of Thailand, HEDato’ Shaarani bin Ibrahim, Ambassador ofMalaysia to Kingdom of Thailand and EnZaid Zakaria, General Manager, InternationalDivision,Construction Industry DevelopmentBoard of Malaysia CIDB.20 BINA PURI HOLDINGS BHDAnnual Report 2007
