At the evening banquet (L-R) John Van Chaldy<br />

emceed the event, followed by Jill Parham,<br />

who had John Parham Jr. on the phone, and<br />

Jill and John's son Zach. John Parham Jr.<br />

addressed the group from his hospital bed in<br />

Cincinatti... it was a tear jerker. John had a<br />

lung transplant and continues <strong>to</strong> go back for<br />

check-ups. The Parhams are as good as they<br />

get. <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Courageous</strong> is fortunate they <strong>to</strong>ok<br />

the camp under their wing.<br />

J & P Cycle's Open House was a two-day<br />

event attended by over 10,000! <strong>Camp</strong><br />

<strong>Courageous</strong> volunteers served water and<br />

food...everything was a free will donation <strong>to</strong><br />

camp.<br />

(R) Pat Burross came all the way from<br />

Texas <strong>to</strong> be a part of this event. She is a<br />

great salesperson when it comes <strong>to</strong> <strong>Camp</strong><br />

<strong>Courageous</strong>.<br />

John and Jill Parham present a check<br />

for $25,000 <strong>to</strong> the camp for an incredible<br />

weekend. It was sure great <strong>to</strong> have John<br />

back and healthy <strong>to</strong> present the check.<br />

Thank you once again <strong>to</strong> the Transamerica<br />

(formerly Aegon) for their out pouring of items<br />

for the Pineapple Gala Auction. Each year<br />

they put <strong>to</strong>gether exceptional baskets, that<br />

are always the <strong>to</strong>p money making baskets.<br />

Along with the baskets, employees do<br />

countless activities <strong>to</strong> raise awareness and<br />

Transamerica (AEGON) has been a<br />

long-time supporter of <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Courageous</strong>.<br />

The month of July had many<br />

activities <strong>to</strong> benefit <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Courageous</strong>.<br />

Including the money collected, 513 rolls<br />

of <strong>to</strong>ilet paper, 212 rolls of paper <strong>to</strong>wels,<br />

and 83 boxes of tissue were collected.<br />
