STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR SURFACE WATER QUALITY SAMPLINGFIGURE 9.2. Pebble count excel sheet.9.3 POST-TRIP CALIBRATIONSCalibrate pH, dissolved oxygen and conductivity when you return to the office. Values shouldagree with the precalibration results within the following limits.Parameter Acceptable RangepHPost-trip reading should be within 0.3 standard units of the pre-trip readings foreach buffer solution used. Hydrolab instrument specifications specify aninstrument tolerance of +/- 0.2 SU, and additional 0.1 SU is permitted for minorenvironmental differences (temperature, etc.).Conductivity EC readings shall be within 10% of pre-trip post-calibration values.Dissolved Dissolved oxygen saturation values will be evaluated site by site according toOxygen calibration performance in the field. Readings will be evaluated after sitecalibration by stabilization time (should be within 2 minutes) and adherence to afull 100% calibration for YSI. Hydrolab measurements should be within 10%.TABLE 9.1 Post-trip calibrations.REVISED SEPTEMBER 2012 180
