STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR SURFACE WATER QUALITY SAMPLINGsnowy weather is not considered "normal risk". If any member of the field crew is uncom<strong>for</strong>tablewith a reasonable self-determined hazardous field condition, it is that person’s responsibility tobring this to the attention of the project lead and that person is not required to complete the workassignment. A “reasonable self-determined hazardous field condition” is defined as other thannormal risk. The project lead shall not dismiss any person’s spoken concerns that field conditionsare too hazardous to complete the work assignment.The following sub-sections provide specific guidelines regarding safety while fulfilling field workassignments.2.3.1 FIELD TRIP ROUTING AND TELEPHONE CHECK-IN PROCEDUREBe<strong>for</strong>e any field trip is conducted, a Routing Form or "Float Plan" (FIGURE 2.5) must becompleted.
