a collection of her poetry, “I
Saw God Dancing”, was
published by DreamSeeker
Books and is described as
follows: “The narrative
poetry of Cheryl Denise
gathers together her
Canadian Mennonite roots,
rural life and her
attachment to the people
and mountains of West
Virginia. Her poetry is rich
in concrete detail and many
poems contain a storytelling
quality. Subjects range from
sheep farming to lusts and
longings, biblical women,
legs, old lovers and
laundromats. Often
humorous, she penetrates
to the deep current of
human relationship.”
Advysers”! In 2002, my
face almost broke (such a
big smile) when I married
Mari Carmen in Mexico
for 2 years before coming
back to Canada. October
26, 2004 became the best
day of our lives when our
son Jeronimo was born.
We have just bought a
house in North Vancouver
arrival of our next child in
January.
On the employment front, I
a bit of globetrotting as a
whitewater raft/kayak
professional and finally have
decided that it's something
saved for the weekends. If
anyone is coming out to the
west coast make sure you
give us a ring.
