Paul Kalbfleisch has been a valuable<br />
resource for <strong>Conestoga</strong>’s Advertising<br />
Program practically from the<br />

Profile<br />
(PACs Program Advisory Commitees) The Board of Governors appoints Program Advisory Committee members for<br />
degree, diploma, certificate <strong>and</strong> apprenticeship programs. Committees are composed of employers, practitioners <strong>and</strong><br />
recent program graduates.<br />

Paul Kalbfleisch <strong>and</strong> Christina Simoes.<br />
Christina is from our first graduating class,<br />
2003 <strong>and</strong> now works for RIM. Her title is<br />
Marketing Manager, Customer Programs.<br />
Advertising Program Advisory<br />
Committee. Paul has provided<br />
knowledge <strong>and</strong> expertise to the<br />
program as it grows. Paul has<br />
volunteered as emcee for the annual<br />
advertising gala evenings <strong>and</strong><br />
according to reports was brilliant,<br />
witty <strong>and</strong> charming. He is also<br />
called upon to be a guest speaker<br />
<strong>and</strong> provides information interviews<br />
for the students of the program.<br />
Paul graduated in 1980 from the<br />
Graphic Design program. Since<br />
then he has worked in London <strong>and</strong><br />
Toronto. He became a partner in a<br />
small advertising agency where he<br />
gained experience as an art director,<br />
a creative director <strong>and</strong> account<br />
manager. In his search for a<br />
broader creative challenge, Paul<br />
joined The Mutual Group as a<br />
marketing communications officer,<br />
where he was a key player the<br />
development of the Clarica br<strong>and</strong>.<br />
As a result, Paul worked with global<br />
leading marketing consultants <strong>and</strong><br />
br<strong>and</strong> consultants, including L<strong>and</strong>or<br />
Associates in New York. For the last<br />
4.5 years, Paul has been overseeing<br />
the BlackBerry br<strong>and</strong>. This role has<br />
given him the unique opportunity to<br />
develop marketing ideas with the<br />
world class creative resources such<br />
as Second City photographer Annie<br />
Leibowitz <strong>and</strong> Hollywood film<br />
production companies.<br />
Waterloo Region has grown by leaps<br />
<strong>and</strong> bounds over the 25 years since<br />
Paul graduated from <strong>Conestoga</strong>. He<br />
has proven that global opportunities<br />
are available in our own community,<br />
<strong>and</strong> “you never know how far you<br />
can go.”<br />
