At this time you can select to use the cross bolt to lock the bolt closed,and block the bolt handle so the rifle cannot be cocked, or continueto push the bolt handle forward to the cocked position, this shouldonly be done when ready to fire.Caution: When the rifle is cocked there is no safety feature to preventunintentional discharge. Neither the red or white dot will visible whenthe rifle is cocked.10) Unloading the SE 30• Decock rifle if cocked.• Remove magazine.• Pull bolt all the way to the rear and eject the chambered cartridge.Note: Red dot must be showing to open the bolt.• Close bolt if so desired.11) Cocking the rifleLoad rifle as previously described. The red dot must be showing. Pushforward on the bolt handle until it stops, the red dot is no longer visible,and the bolt handle will remain in the forward position. The rifleis now cocked. While hunting the rifle is easily cocked using thethumb of your pistol grip hand.Note: In the rare event the rifle will not stay cocked, this condition iseasily remedied by removing the wood knob on the bolt lever, andadjusting the internal wrenching screw inside the lever until rifle willremain in the cocked position.
