The ‘Perfect Pour’ system
accurately dispenses a preset
amount of liquid specified by a
user, and tracks fluid inventory
used in an establishment or
facility.
This system has two main
component types: a dispenser and
a central computer. These components communicate over a wireless network.
The dispenser fits onto a bottle (medicine, beverage, etc.). When the user starts
the pour, the dispenser opens a solenoid valve and begins dispensing liquid. Sensors
then measure flow and temperature. The user’s preset volume adjustment controls
the amount of time the valve remains open. Once the pour is finished, the dispenser
sends the pour information wirelessly to the central computer. The user may then
review the pour data from the central computer’s graphical user interface. This GUI
tracks the inventory information of the system and can track which device
is associated with which product.
This design is targeted for use in the beverage, pharmaceutical, and/or chemical
industries.
