BYLAW, ARTICLE 13Recruiting13.9 Letter of Intent Programs, Financial Aid Agreements ............................................................................................................... 1513.11 Tryouts ....................................................................................................................................................................................... 15In general, the <strong>Conference</strong> rules <strong>and</strong> regulations governing recruiting shall be the rules <strong>and</strong> regulations of the NCAA as set forth in theNCAA Manual <strong>and</strong> official interpretations thereof.13.9 LETTER OF INTENT PROGRAMS, FINANCIAL AID AGREEMENTS13.9.1 Letter of Intent - Limitation. Each <strong>SEC</strong> member institution is limited to signing 25 football prospective studentathletesto a National Letter of Intent, <strong>Conference</strong> financial aid agreement <strong>and</strong>/or institutional offer of athletics financial aidfrom December 1 through May 31 st of each year. [Adopted 5/29/09; effective immediately; revised 6/3/11; effective August 1,2011]13.11 TRYOUTS13.9.1.1 Signing Limit Exception. A prospective student-athlete who signs a National Letter of Intent, <strong>Conference</strong>financial aid agreement <strong>and</strong>/or institutional offer of athletics financial aid <strong>and</strong> is included in the certifyinginstitution’s initial counter limits for the current academic year is not subject to the institution’s annual signing limit.[Adopted 6/3/11; effective August 1, 2011]13.9.1.2 Annual Reporting. Each member institution shall annually submit a written report to the <strong>Conference</strong>office for the purpose of detailing the enrollment <strong>and</strong> scholarship status of all scholarship football student-athletes<strong>and</strong> all prospective student-athletes signed to a National Letter of Intent, <strong>Conference</strong> Financial aid agreement orinstitutional financial aid agreement. Each member institution’s annual report shall be reviewed by the <strong>Conference</strong>Chief Executive Officers <strong>and</strong> Athletics Directors. [Adopted 6/3/11, effective August 1, 2011]13.11.1.8 Non-Scholastic Football Events. <strong>SEC</strong> member institutions may not host, sponsor, or conduct nonscholasticfootball events (e.g., 7-on-7 football events) at any location, on or off campus. [Adopted 6/3/11; effectiveAugust 1, 2011]13.11.1.9 On-Campus Evaluations. In all sports, it shall be impermissible to conduct on-campus evaluations ofprospective student-athletes. [Adopted 6/1/12; effective August 1, 2012]15
