An action arising from thepresentation was that the EGEE&C Chair undertook to share all project synopses relating tostandards and conformance with the SCSC Chair, and encouraged reciprocity. The EGEEC& SCSC will hold a joint meeting in Japan this September, alongside a workshop onstandards and conformance, with a ‘green harmonisation’ theme• A presentation on the SCSC’s planned Conference on Implementation of EnergyManagement Standardisation Project (scheduled to take place in the US in early 2011). Theproposal will;o Promote the mass market adoption of high energy efficient technologies for keyelectrical appliances that are forecast to demand the largest share of residentialelectricity: refrigerators, televisions, air conditioners, fans and lighting.o Seek global agreement on best practice energy efficiency for these appliancetypes and seek a global commitment from economies to advance best practice.o The USA has committed $3m towards the project and it will advance theobjectives through existing programmes.Action: The group agreed that the Chair EGEE&C would contact the SEAD project leaders togive an outline on the EGEE&C, its objectives, credentials, activities, and interest in the SEADproject, and invite discussion on how EGEE&C might be involved in SEAD.
