After consolidating a new level of investment in the scientificandtechnologicalsystem,specialattentionwillbefocusedoncreativeinnovationinthecontextofthedifferentvaluechains.Area4–CombatingClimateChange,PledginginRenewableEnergiesandinEnergyEfficiencyPortugal is one of the leaders in the promotion of renewable energies, givingsequencetooneofthestructuringdriversofthePNACE2008/2010.ThePNR2008/2010 pledges in the priority of energy efficiency as a way of reducing carbonemissions and increasing competitiveness in the processes and Portugal will makethe renewable energies sector a key pledge both in terms of the incorporation4
