VARIATION OF BANDWIDTH 83times the actual frequency excursion.Curves are given to show thebandwidth for modulation indexes from 0.1 to 10,000 for sinusoidal, square, rectangular, and triangular modulation. For a more precisedefinition of bandwidth, curves are also given for amplitude limits of0.001B and 0.0001S.When several modulating tones are on simultaneously, the side frequenciesare produced at frequencies separated from the carrier by allcombination frequencies that can be obtained by taking sums anddifferences of all the harmonics of the tone frequencies. The samecurves can be used to determine the bandwidth when several audiotones are used simultaneously, since the bandwidth will be equal approximatelyto the sum of the bandwidths for each tone separately.
