Noel A. Schull '21 is a part-time clerk
for Shipman Hardware. He and his
wife Carrie (Moyer) '21 recently cele-
brated their 55th wedding anniversary.
They live in New Port Richey, FL.
1 923
Graydon W. Regenos '23 and his wife
Ada (Young) '24 of Galesburg, Illinois,
recently ioined forces to edit a book.
The book was published in 1973 to
mark the sesqui-centennial of Fulton
Co. It was entitled Historic Fulton
County, Sites and Scenes, Past and
Present, 1823-1973. The book was
printed by the Fulton County Historical
Society, to which Graydon and Ada
belong. Its more than 300 pages con-
tain many protographs. On October
18, 1974 Historic Fulton County was
given an award of merit by the Illi-
nois State Historical Society as "most
worthy of recognition in the category
for local and regional history" during
that year.
M. Helen Roberts '23 retired in 1969
after 21 years of teaching music in
high school. She continues to live at
the same place in Richvalley, IN, but
the town has lost its post office, and
her new address is R.R. 2, Wabash, IN.
1925
Edna (Johnson) George '25 is living
near the college, and has retired. She
devotes her time to the demands of
being a housewife.
1 926
John W. Newberg '26 plans to re-
tire in July of 1975, after teaching
high school mathematics for 38 years,
and working another eight years as a
bookkeeper. He has been employed
by the West Carrolton, OH schools. He
lives in Miamisburg, OH.
Rev. Homer F. Roberts '26 is min-
ister of the Presbyterian Church at
Marshfield, WI, where he and his wife,
Geneva (Taylor) '25 live.

Guy Anderson '27, a former Cen-
tral student, of Wilmington, Delaware,
has retired after 33 years with the
National Weather Service.

Russell F. Hiatt '27 has retired after
a lengthy career in the ministry. He
continues to live in Muncie, IN. His
daughter, Ruth lives in Peoria, IL while
another daughter, Julia, is a teacher at
the Air Force base in Wiesbaden, Ger-
many.
Glen F. McCracken '27 and his wife,
former Central student Violet '30, have
retired from their work with the Mc-
Curdy Mission School at Espanola, NM.
They worked at the mission for 38Yz
years. They continue to live in Espanola.
1 928
Samuel H. Brewer '28 and his wife,
Helen (Windfall) '27 have both retired
from teaching, Sam after 43 years,
Helen after 38 years. The couple taught
in the Perry Township School system
near Indianapolis. They are now liv-
ing in Lakeland, FL.
Freda (Rider) Cassel '28 of Dayton,
OH has retired after teaching for 16
years in the Dayton public school sys-
tem.
Elizabeth (Armstrong) Emmert '28 is
now retired and living in Leawood, KS.
Her husband, Alfred, who is now de-
ceased, was also a member of the
class of 1928.
Esther (Parker) Hampel '28 of Butler
is now enioying her retirement after
a career as a teacher.
Anna (Dale) Kek '28 and her hus-
band, Evan '30, are both involved in
health related careers. Anna is Co-
ordinator of the Randolph County, West
Virginia "Meals on Wheels." Evan
serves as executive Director of the
Randolph County Chapter of the Amer-
ican Red Cross. They live in Elkins,
West Virginia.
Clara (Mendenhall) Shoemaker '28,
a retired school teacher, is secretary
of her local senior citizens group and
president of the Henderson Co., IL re-
tired Teachers. She lives in Media, IL.

Cloyce Quackenbush '29 substitute
t e a c h e s in the Indianapolis Public
Schools. His wife teaches special read-
ing in Anderson, IN. The couple lives
in Anderson.
1930
Alton W. Cochran '30 is administra-
tive assistant for services and person-
nel for the Greater Clark County Indi-
ana Schools. He and his wife, Margaret,
celebrated their 35th wedding anni-
versary on June 3, 1974. They live in
Charlestown, IN.
Katherine (Stine) Hinshaw '30 of
Shelbyville is in retirement. She had
been a teacher.
May (Messer) Lanie '30 of Chandler,
AZ has retired from her position as a
school teacher in Arizona.
Albert R. Mahin '30 is vice-principal
at Broad Ripple High School in Indian-
apolis. His wife is Evelyn (Horlacher)
'37. They live in the Hoosier capital.
Gladys Hancock Shumwsy '30 re-
tired on May 31, 1974 after 44 years
of teaching in the Mt. Vernon Com-
munity Schools in Indiana. She lives
in the Hoosier town of Greenfield.
Esther (Parsons) Topping '30, a re-
tired teacher is doing volunteer work
for a day care center and for the Work-
ers for the Blind. She also works for
Temple Congregational Church of the
United Church of Christ. She and her
husband live in Marion, IN.
David E. Vance '30 has retired after
41 years as a social science teacher and
coach. 31 of those 41 years were spent
at Macomb High School in Macomb, IL
where he lives.
1931
Rev. Homer Achor '31 has retired
from his ministerial position but con-
tinues to do some preaching. His wife
is Helen (Crocker) '30. Their son, Jerry
'62, now works as a computer iech-
nician at Grain Dealers Insurance Co.
The elder Achors live in Franklin, IN.
Shelton Kaiser '31 is director of ed-
ucational media for the Culver Com-
munity Schools. He lives in Culver,
IN.
Rev. Clarence 1. Roberts '31 is pas-
tor of the American Baptist Church in
Liberty Center, IN, where he lives.
Marjorie (Scott) Underwood '31 is
girls' counselor at the Northwestern
High School in Kokomo, IN where she
lives.
