The main assets of Cusumano include 140 hectares of family vineyards set in<br />
specific, diverse areas according to microclimatic conditions throughout Sicily; the<br />
constant study of the soil aimed at finding the best varieties to be chosen for their<br />
specific features; and the continuous research from grape growing to winemaking<br />
area. Knowledge of the soils, the constant monitoring of the vines, and the<br />

FIRRIATO<br />
The Firriato winery near Trapani in the northwest of the island was founded in<br />
1985 by the Di Gaetano family and is the personification of the "New Sicily". Starting<br />
with the 1994 vintage, scrupulously selected, ripe grapes from low-yielding,<br />
hillside vineyards have been vinified by a team of local and antipodean winemakers.<br />
The only aim was quality, using indigenous Sicilian and international grape varieties.<br />
