Please bring a 25 metre 1.5mm 2 extension lead withyou for your power connection for outdoor sites.(*c) Subject to supply availability you will require 2 x 25 metre1.5mm 2 extension leads. If you require additional electrical supplywe may be able to provide a number of single phase connections oryou may need to hire a 3 phase distribution board. If special cablesare required, then the costs will be charged on to the Exhibitor.Distribution boards may be required where Exhibitors have a variety ofpower requirements and are in the high power use bracket, to improveyour load efficiency. Distribution boards can be hired from most hirecompanies. Exhibitors that require more than 48 amps (irrespective ofthe number of sites) can contact the <strong>Fieldays</strong> office for the provision ofsilenced generators. This should be done as soon as possible becausesilenced generators are of limited availability. Exhibitors must pay forthe costs of silenced generators.The Society will credit an Exhibitor $160 + GST on their site fee, wherethey have installed their own silenced generator and take no supply fromthe Society.General1. The Society reserves the right to assign an Exhibitor with a highpower requirement to any site in order to provide improved capabilityof supply. Any associated costs will be charged to the Exhibitor.This will be undertaken in consultation with the Exhibitorprovided that the Exhibitor has indicated their power requirementprior to 6 April 2012.2. In all cases, Exhibitors that have not declared their requirementsfor high power usage (regardless of the number of sites) and havenot paid their power usage fee as described above by 6 April 2012may have supply declined by the Society.3. The Society has invested heavily in power reticulation but cannotguarantee supply without possible interruption.!NOTE: Exhibitors will be monitored during the event to ascertaintheir power usage. Any Exhibitor exceeding their level may tripthe circuit breaker and will be charged a penalty in addition to thefee. They may also be disconnected. It is important to assess yourlikely power consumption when booking your site.It is the Exhibitors responsibility to arrange all electrical equipmenton their site. All electrical equipment on site must comply withAustralian/<strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> standard 3002:2002.All electrical work on any exhibit is to be carried out only by a qualifiedelectrical tradesman who must furnish the Society with a compliancecertificate. We recommend all electrical work be contracted to oursite electricians. The Society must be forwarded prior advice of allelectricians likely to be doing work on site.Helpful hints to determine your supply requirements:• Identify all electrical appliances, motors, lights, coffee urns, etcintended to be used on your site(s).• Check their specifications or labels for current usage (i.e amps).• Typically a heater uses 10 amps (2,300 watts) and a single 150 wattbulb uses 0.75 amps. It is wise to use gas heaters.
