Thesemil specs simplify system design <strong>and</strong> procurement,because mil spec parts do not require costly testingfor suitability. Easy multiple sourcing is another keyadvantage of a mil spec part.MIL-DTL-83513 is a detail spec controlling dimensions,materials, performance <strong>and</strong> testing.
