Partnership working is therefore at the core,and the Council has played a key role in shaping and coordinatingthe range of strategic and operational forums (supported housingpanels) which now oversee and deliver a range of housing andsupport services throughout the borough. The impact andoperation of the Council’s approach has been recognised andacclaimed as an example of Best Practice.This, together with our engagement in the administrative eframework for delivering the Supporting People programme, willprovide an excellent basis for engaging and participating on abroader basis within the emerging LAA and CAA’sHampshire County Council (HCC) Supporting People is theprimary funding mechanism for the delivery of housing andsupport related services throughout the borough, although theCouncil also commissions key services (some of which are jointlycommissioned) in partnership with HCC. These include:- supported lodgings for young vulnerable people- Specialist floating support services for young people- Specialist support and sanctuary services for victims ofdomestic violence- Home Improvement / Handy person services for older people- A Housing Occupational Therapist- The provision of a cross sector / cross client groupSupported Housing Coordinator- In house welfare, benefits and resettlement support forpotentially homeless peopleSupportingpeople46
