Lunch will be at the ReadingTerminal Market where mom and popstands compete with larger restaurants toserve food from around the world, as wellas local favorites, like Philly cheese steaks(on your own). It’s also one of the bestspots in Philadelphia to buy deliciousproduce, meats, baked goods, prepared foodsand Amish specialties. In the afternoon,you will visit the Barnes Foundation, thenewest addition to Philadelphia’s museumdistrict. Albert Barnes’ multibillion-dollarcollection of Impressionist works by painterslike Cezanne, Gauguin, Manet, Matisse,Mogdigliani, Renoir and Van Gogh is housedin a gorgeous ultra-modern building fardifferent from the original museum in thePhiladelphia suburbs. However, the museum’sinterior remains true to Barnes’ vision, andso the artworks are displayed as they werein his home at the time of his death in1951. We will travel to the Ironboundneighborhood and visit St. Casimir'sChurch, built in 1920’s by the Polishcommunity. Its opulence will delight you.After our visit we will make a stop at alocal bakery to take home some Portuguesetreats. Lunch will be at Rodizio's, wheregrilled meats are carved at your table.The lunch also includes vegetables, salad,sangria, soda, a buffet dessert table, pluscoffee or tea. Then on to Our Lady ofKazan Russian Orthodox Church, built asan Episcopal Church, which now serves aRussian Orthodox congregation.
