APPLYING THE ARM CUFFAPPLYING THE CUFF ON THE RIGHT ARMWhen taking a measurement using the right arm use this instructionfor Step 6 on page 25.Apply the cuff to your right upper arm so the thumb grip is centeredon the inside of your inner arm. The bottom of the cuff should beapproximately 1/2'' above your elbow.Thumb GripNOTE: Be careful not to rest your arm on the air tube. This will restrictthe flow of air to the cuff.26
TAKING A MEASUREMENTThe monitor automatically determines your ideal inflation level. In rarecircumstances when a higher inflation may be necessary, the monitorautomatically re-inflates the cuff up to 30 mmHg higher than the initialinflation and restarts the measurement.WARNINGContact your physician for specific information about your bloodpressure. Self-diagnosis and treatment using measured results maybe dangerous. Follow the instructions of your physician or licensedhealthcare provider.CAUTIONOperate the device only as intended. Do not use the device for anyother purpose.CUFF WRAP GUIDEThis monitor checks whether the arm cuff is applied correctly during theinflation. When the cuff is applied correctly, is displayed whiletaking a measurement or using the memory function. If the cuff is notapplied correctly, is displayed. If is displayed, refer to thesection “Applying the Arm Cuff”, reapply the cuff and take anothermeasurement.27
