Laura ThomsonAs the new Junior Rep is yet to be chosen I am writing a short report to keep everyone up to date in themeantime. The Junior Rep will need to be elected by the Juniors of the club. The rep’s job is to report on juniors’activities each month. This involves an article in the monthly newsletter and updating the ManagementCommittee on things relating to juniors by sending a report to their meetings to be read out. Please consider if you think you would like this role.In next month’s newsletter we will list the candidates with details of who they are so the juniors can then decidewhom they wish to elect. If you wish to nominate please write your name, age, sailing experience and why youthink you should be the Rep. (The details you write down will be what is put in the newsletter). We are all very excited to be the first regional Tackers Centre in Australia. Tackers is for kids aged 7-12, but theGISBS Learn To Sail program will still be running for kids over 12. If you are interested in learning to sail, get yourmum or dad to send an email to awyc.training@gmail.com with your name, age and any prior sail training youhave completed. The season has already started and it’s great to see a fleet of juniors already out there racing. Great job!Don’t forget that we are collecting the Pauls collect-a-caps so we can raise funds for the junior clubroom.
