12experience as a Certified Teacher with the Algoma District SchoolBoard, exclusive of the Summer or Night School, shall berecognisedup to five (5) school years on the wage grid subject to the following:i) one (1) teaching day equals (5) or more consecutive teachinghours in the same day.ii) less than five (5) teaching hours in one day shall be pro-rated.d) Recognition of Technical Experience shall be credited at one (1) year ofTechnical Experience for each two (2) years of directly RelatedTechnical Experience to a maximum of five (5) years Teachingexperience on the Wage Grid.e) It is the Secondary Occasional Teacher’s responsibility to supply proofof Teaching and Related Technical Experience that is not with theAlgoma District School Board. Proof of all teaching experience mustbe certified by the Board and be submitted in a manner acceptable tothe Algoma District School Board.f) Recognition of experience shall not have the effect of a total salary forany member that would pierce the maximum annual salary for theappropriate Category Level or Wage Grid.ARTICLE 15 - SECONDARY OCCASIONAL TEACHERS’ LIST(S):15.1 a) The Board shall establish and maintain a Master List of SecondaryOccasional Teachers which shall be organized in alphabeticalorder.b) The Board shall establish and maintain, for each geographic area, aList of Secondary Occasional Teachers by Subject Area. The list(s)shall be arranged alphabetically.15.2 The Board shall have the right to add to the Occasional List(s) asrequired.a) By the end of September and February of each year, theBoard shall provide all Secondary Schools and the Union withcopiesof the List(s) and from time to time as the List(s) isamended.
