Complete Progress AssessmentInstructionsThe Complete Progress Assessment should be used once all the individual exercises are completed andsigned off. It is an overall evaluation of the new driver’s progress.The assessment can be pho<strong>to</strong>copied and used as often as needed. Score each activity and <strong>to</strong>tal eachsection as it is completed. The goal is <strong>for</strong> the learner <strong>to</strong> earn a mark of good or fair <strong>for</strong> every skill.Limit the assessment time <strong>to</strong> one <strong>to</strong> two hours <strong>to</strong> ensure the learner does not become <strong>to</strong>o tired. Areasnot covered in the first assessment can be covered the next time out. It is not necessary <strong>to</strong> complete theassessment in one session.Assessing Per<strong>for</strong>manceA <strong>Go</strong>od assessment score is achieved when the skills are completed safely, smoothly, and withoutdisrupting other vehicles or pedestrians.A Fair assessment score is made when the skills are not per<strong>for</strong>med as well as they could have been, butare done safely with little or no disruption <strong>to</strong> traffic or pedestrians.A Needs Practice assessment score is made when the learner’s per<strong>for</strong>mance is poor and unsafe, and couldor does interfere with other vehicles or pedestrians.A space <strong>for</strong> comments is provided below each section.Date: __________________________104
