The most important one is the framework density (FD), which means thenumber of T-atoms (temperature atoms) per 1000°A 3 . The distribution of these valuesfor the porous and dense frameworks whose structures are well established is showedin Figure 2.3(a) and (b). Thus, the FD is obviously related to the pore volume, but doesnot reflect the size of the openings and to some extent it depends on the compositionfor the structural and chemical reason.11
