General Consumer Code October 2003PART 5REPORTING1. Overview1.1 The Consumer Forum will provide regular progress reports to assist itin its ongoing monitoring and review of Codes. The progress reportswill document:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)(g)(h)(i)(j)identified breaches of each Code as specified in Part 6, 1.2 (d)(section on Sanctions), and the remedial action taken (on ananonymous basis);instances of rejection of a complaint as specified in Part 6, 6 B6.4 (consumer complaints) and Part 6, 6 C 6.6 (industrycomplaints), and the reasons for rejection;publicity and education programmes;identified recurring complaints as specified in Part 6, 1.2 (b)and steps taken to address these;statistics on complaints as specified in Part 6, 1.2 (c) and theirresolution, outlined in appropriate detail;the Consumer Forum monitoring activities undertaken;steps taken by Service Providers/ Service Providers in thedevelopment of in-house compliance systems;costs and other details of financial administration;continuous improvement in Code principles and administration;anddevelopments in technology which are expected to have animpact on operational procedures covered by the Code, andthe steps proposed to be taken by the Consumer Forum toaddress these issues.1.2 The progress reports will be publicised via the Consumer Forum’spublications.39
General Consumer Code October 20031.3 The progress reports may be made available to the public uponrequest.1.4 The Consumer Forum’s annual report will contain a summary of allprogress reports for that relevant year.40
