ASSIGNMENT REVIEW OF STUDENT NO. 7 ~ SANFORD MIDDLE SCHOOLSuperintendent’s Recommendation: Mr. Grace presented the charge(s) submitted by SanfordMiddle School and relayed the Superintendent’s recommendation that student numbered 7 beassigned to Journeys Academy through January 2011.Recommendation by Board Hearing Officer: Concur that student numbered 7 be assigned toJourneys Academy until January 2011. Student numbered 7 did not appear before the HearingOfficer or Mr. Grace for the scheduled hearing.EXPULSION RECOMMENDATION OF STUDENT NO.8 ~ JOURNEYS ACADEMYSuperintendent’s Recommendation: Mr. Grace presented the charge(s) submitted by JourneysAcademy and relayed the Superintendent’s recommendation that student numbered 8 beexpelled and fully excluded from all Seminole County Public Schools through January 2011.Additionally, Mr. Grace informed the Hearing Officer that due to a conflict student numbered 8(parent/guardian) requested to postpone and reschedule the discipline hearing.Recommendation to the Board: That student numbered 8 be assigned to Journeys Academy untilcustodial parent can attend the (Rescheduled) Discipline Hearing.EXPULSION RECOMMENDATION OF STUDENT NO.9 ~ JOURNEYS ACADEMYSuperintendent’s Recommendation: Mr. Grace presented the charge(s) submitted by JourneysAcademy and relayed the Superintendent’s recommendation that student numbered 9 beexpelled and fully excluded from all Seminole County Public Schools through January 2011.Recommendation to the Board: That student numbered 9 be expelled and fully excluded from allSeminole County Public Schools until June 2010. Mr. Grace provided information to theparents/guardians regarding the CIN FINS Program offered at Boys Town along with counselinginformation to help student numbered 9 with anger management issues. Student numbered 9 willreturn to Journeys in August 2010 to complete one (1) semester and then transition to zoneschool.EXPULSION RECOMMENDATION OF STUDENT NO.10 ~ JOURNEYS ACADEMYSuperintendent’s Recommendation: Mr. Grace presented the charge(s) submitted by JourneysAcademy and relayed the Superintendent’s recommendation that student numbered 10 beexpelled and fully excluded from all Seminole County Public Schools through January 2011.Recommendation to the Board: Concur that student numbered 10 be expelled and fully excludedfrom all Seminole County Public Education until January 2011.
