NOJAX ®<br />
Features<br />
<strong>Cellulose</strong> <strong>Casings</strong><br />
NOJAX ® casings are made of regenerated cellulose designed for high speed, automated production<br />
of hot dogs, dry mini salamis, cooked sausage and coarse ground fresh sausages. The casings<br />
come as shirred sticks for use on automated stuffing equipment, as-is with no soaking required.<br />
Size Range: Stuffing diameters 14 - 47 mm.<br />

Color Range: NOJAX ® <strong>Casings</strong> are offered in non-transferable blue and Wedzone (smoke) colors<br />
or with stripes for product differentiation as well as to afford a visual check of complete peeling.<br />
Treatments: NOJAX ® casings are offered in a variety of value-added treatments.<br />
– Regular NOJAX ® Casing is a standard product and does not contain a peeling treatment.<br />
– E-Z PEEL ® NOJAX ® Casing contains a peeling treatment to ensure perfect casing removal.<br />
– Self-Coloring** NOJAX ® <strong>Casings</strong> are available in Dark Cherry and Light Orange to impart<br />
food grade color to the surface of the stuffed product.<br />
NOJAX ® <strong>Cellulose</strong> <strong>Casings</strong> are available with closed-ends ideal for automatic stuffing equipment<br />
or with open-ends for manual stuffing.<br />
Finishing Formats: <strong>Casings</strong> are pre-humidified and shirred into a variety of casing lengths to<br />
optimize productivity.<br />
Printing: NOJAX ® <strong>Casings</strong> are offered in continuous one color graphics for product branding.<br />

Product Usage<br />
NOJAX ® casings are pre-humidified and<br />
designed to be used as delivered. For optimum<br />
performance, the casing should be stuffed to<br />
their Recommended Stuffing Diameter (RSD).<br />

Storage & Handling<br />
Store NOJAX ® casing in a cool, dry place avoiding proximity to heat sources as well as hot or<br />
freezing storage areas. Pre-humidified casings should be stored at temperatures between 55° to<br />
75° F (12° - 24° C) and should remain sealed in original containers until ready for use. Unused<br />
casings should be kept in airtight bags and replaced in the original carton to maintain proper<br />
moisture content. Keep stock current by using the oldest stock first. To avoid possible damage, it<br />
is imperative that knives, sharp instruments and hooks not be used to open cartons or caddies.<br />
