Academic evaluations by the faculty and faculty committees are not limited to the assignment <strong>of</strong> examination scoresand cognitive evaluations. Grades and narrative evaluations issued by the faculty and faculty committees are basedon all requirements for the M.D. degree. However, students shouldunderstand that the final grade in any course or clerkship will be determined by the course or clerkship director basedon the factors described in the course or clerkship syllabus. The final grade may or may not be the same as thejudgment <strong>of</strong> the assessor who prepares a narrative evaluation.Grades and narrative evaluations are based on a complete evaluation <strong>of</strong> student performance in view <strong>of</strong> allrequirements and standards <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Florida</strong> <strong>Atlantic</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Medicine</strong> and the course or clinical rotation.50
