Biningerof Fort Lauderdale has been elected anhonorary director.FORT LAUDERDALE: Bob Hoysgaard (Wisconsin '63) was presented a plaque byDwight Rogers, Jr. (Florida '38) at the club's Golf Outing. The plaque had been given toRogers 30 years earlier.PALM BEACH COUNTYOn July 11th the Palm Beach CountyAlumni Association went "all out" hostinga first class rush party for area seniors scheduledto attend college this fall. The Sportsman'sLodge in West Palm Beach catered an"All American Cookout" in the finest sense.There were Golden Legionaires (PaulBennett), just plain good ole alumni likeDean Barclay, active brothers from aroundthe state, Rushees going to schools all overthe state, and coed friends from severalchapters.Without question, everyone, and thatespecially includes the Alumni whoattended, left happy that they were there.Actives from all over the State showed up.Members of the Florida International University<strong>Phi</strong> Delt Colony drove up fromMiami. Four Brothers and Little Sistersfrom the University of Central Florida, and15 Brothers and Little Sisters from the Universityof Florida drove down from Orlandoand Gainesville.Once the crowd got settled in. HankMassey and Fred Beasley were made teamcaptains for the volleyball games. As thegames developed, jungle rules were employedand everyone developed a goodappetite.After everyone had their fill of the "AllAmerican Cookout," there was a short program.Paul Bennett told the rushees andactives some history about <strong>Phi</strong> Delt. HarryMassey, "<strong>Phi</strong>-of-the-Year '75," shared withus his post-graduate involvement with thefraternity. Jamie Hunley, president of FloridaKappa, and Sam Coniglo, president ofFlorida Iota Colony, updated the crowd ontheir chapters' activities. Fred Beasley,representing Florida State, offered amnestyto thpse rushees attending University ofFlorida.
