At thismeeting we decided on a calendar of eventsthat will interest all alumni young and old.Due to popular demand we reinstated ourmonthly luncheons. Beginning in Septemberthey will be held the first Wednesday ofevery month at Harry's Hof Brau on SaratogaAve. in San Jose.The first tailgate party of the year washeld Oct. 10 at Spartan Stadium when SanJose State plays New Mexico State. CraigChaney has volunteered to organize thishomecoming party promising plenty of fun,food, and drink for all.Do you feel lucky? On Oct. 17 the SantaClara Valley Alumni Club went to theSierra Nevada mountains to beautiful LakeTahoe. We chartered a bus and left earlythat morning and returned late that samenight.The next Alumni Club meeting was Nov.10 at the home of Mike Tognotti, our currentpresident. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. andend no later than 8:30 p.m.We're going back to our roots! The nextFounders' Day will be March 24, 1988 atthe Los Gatos Lodge. After not appearingthere for the last two years we've decided toreturn. Paul Parent! has volunteered tochair this event and if his enthusiasm is anyindication of what's in store for us then wewill enjoy a wonderful evening.There is one undergraduate vs alumnievent held every year that for all intent andpurpose is for the bragging rights of thischapter, and that is the Annual Flag FootballGame. Our sports director Bob Bastiantells me this game will take place inNovember and he promises to have a brandnew game plan. WMAW&APPOINTMENTS - MEETINGS - ANNOUNCEMENTSNew Jersey Alpha Colony InstalledNew Jersey Alpha colony wasinstalled as a colony at Rutgers,The State University of New Jerseyon July 31.The ceremonies were held at theRutgers Student Center in NewBrunswick. Eight alumni and 24colony members participated in theceremonies.C. T. "Tal" Bray (South Rorida'65), president of the GeneralCouncil, inducted the group of 24men.
