Title 38, Section 3697) atno charge. These counseling services are designed to help an individualchoose a vocational direction, determine the course needed toachieve the chosen goal, <strong>and</strong> evaluate the career possibilities opento them.Assistance may include interest <strong>and</strong> aptitude testing, occupationalexploration, setting occupational goals, locating the right type oftraining program, <strong>and</strong> exploring educational or training facilitieswhich can be utilized to achieve an occupational goal. Counselingservices include, but are not limited to, educational <strong>and</strong> vocationalcounseling <strong>and</strong> guidance; testing; analysis of <strong>and</strong> recommendationsto improve job-marketing skills; identification of employment, training,<strong>and</strong> financial aid resources; <strong>and</strong> referrals to other agencies providingthese services.Eligibility: Educational <strong>and</strong> vocational counseling services areavailable during the period the individual is on active duty with thearmed <strong>for</strong>ces <strong>and</strong> is within 180 days of the estimated date of his orher discharge or release from active duty.
