Theseinclude:ŸŸŸŸGETTING UP to go to class on time.M E E T I N G D E A D L I N E S f o rassignments.STUDYING sufficiently and in time fortests and exams.MANAGING YOUR OWN MONEY it isvery irresponsible and unfair to spendyour parent/guardians hard earnedmoney on a car or cell phone orclothes, for example, when it wasŸŸŸgiven you to defray tuition andresidence fees.LOOKING AFTER YOUR CAR if you arefortunate enough to have one.TAKING CARE OF YOUR OWN SAFETYMake sure your valuables are lockedaway safely; that your door is lockedwhile you are asleep or otherwisedistracted; do not walk around in thedark; never give the pin number ofyour bank card to anyone.MAKING SURE THAT YOU GO TO THEDOCTOR WHEN YOU ARE ILL make aturn at the Student Health Centre onCampus. The qualified nursing staffŸŸthere will give you appropriatemedication/ advise and /or refer youto a reputable doctor.NOT NEGLECTING TO EAT A balanceddiet whenever possible and make sureyou get enough exercise. These thingsare very important for mental,physical, emotional and spiritualhealth.CONSULTING WHEN YOU NEED TO donot let problems fester within you;they will eventually bring you down ifleft unchecked. Ask your mentor orlecturer o refer you to the counsellorsor make an appointment with oneyourself.
