Stephen Legault is a Canmore based writer and<br />

photographer. Stephen has published three books since<br />

2008) and The Darkening Archipeligo (NeWest 2010). These<br />

last two titles are part of a series of “environmentally themed<br />

murder mysteries” featuring protagonist Cole Blackwater.<br />

Stephen has three books slated for publication in the coming<br />

18 months. Stephen takes pictures for fun.<br />

Each November, CMAF is producing the weekend-long Vic Lewis Band Festival. Named for a man<br />

who pioneered band music in the Bow Valley, the Vic Lewis Band Festival has grown into an<br />

international music festival drawing more than 800 junior- and high-school band members from<br />

across the province and adjudicators from around North America. Workshops, evaluations,<br />

performances and recitals are held at Canmore Collegiate High and the Canmore Recreation Centre,<br />

with evening performances at the Cornerstone Theatre.<br />
