through cultural expression in dance, music and food. July<br />
1st -- pancake breakfast at Centennial Park, Family Fun<br />
Run, renowned parade down Main Street at noon,<br />
entertainment throughout the afternoon at Centennial<br />
Park, fireworks at 10:30 pm at Millennium Park.<br />
Presented by The Sugar Pine Company, the Canmore Quilt<br />
<strong>Art</strong> Rockies event offers 2, 3, and 5 days of workshops by<br />
international instructors for an educational program customdesigned<br />
to suit your interests. Evening lectures, prizes<br />
and goodie bags, daily show and share, dessert social and<br />
door prizes – Non-stop inspiration!<br />
Presented by the Canadian <strong>Mountain</strong> <strong>Art</strong>s <strong>Foundation</strong>, the<br />
Canmore artsPeak <strong>Art</strong>s Festival takes place the third<br />
weekend in June. Celebrating arts in Canmore with an<br />
array of venues and activities: artTour, artFair, artSong,<br />
artWell, artWords, artStreet, artLens, artZone workshops<br />
and more – most activities are free to the public!<br />
Celebrate boundless energy and enthusiasm, laughter and<br />
whimsy with the Canmore Children’s Festival this May long<br />
weekend. Our mission – to capture the imaginations,<br />
creative spirit and curiosity of kids of all ages. This one day<br />
event is a celebration of our children. It’s an opportunity to<br />
set the kids free and unleash your inner child for a day of<br />
fun, laughter and merriment. Storytellers, theatre, comedy,<br />
magic, puppets, and crafts await discovery at the Canmore<br />
Children’s Festival. For volunteer opportunities, please<br />

Join us for three days of folk/roots, blues and world beat at<br />
Alberta’s longest running folk festival! The alcohol-free<br />
event includes a global artisan village and food vendor<br />
area, a kid’s area, a free Friday night street dance, a free<br />
Saturday children’s concert and the Heritage Day Monday<br />

The biggest Celtic culture experience in Western Canada<br />
takes place Canmore on Sunday, Labour Day weekend.<br />
Competitions by highland dancers, pipers, drummers,<br />
heavy sportsmen, sheep dog demos; Celtic vendors and<br />
Clan tents. Beer Garden and Evening Ceilidh feature nonstop<br />
entertainment in heated tent. Tickets, food and drink<br />
(haggis! fish and chips!) available on-site. Rain or shine.<br />
The annual celebration of the spirit and presence of the<br />
golden eagle and its autumn migration over Canmore, held<br />
in October. A weekend of Eagle Celebrations including<br />
guided hikes, bird walks, interpretive displays, theatrical<br />
performances and guest speakers. Spotting scopes are set<br />
up at the High School, and Colin Weir brings his Alberta<br />
Birds of Prey Exhibit. Among the live birds on display will be<br />
a golden eagle.<br />
