op–izol ›› Serial Number 9404 wear resistant coating for protection of concrete and concrete floors with insulation properties - temporarily resistant to petroleum products Features: ETERNAL rop–izol (ETERNAL petroleum insulation) is a water sol- uble paint, prepared from a special acrylic copolymer, pigments, fi llers and additives that give the paint some specifi c characteristics. ETERNAL rop–izol is characterized by fast drying, excellent adhesion to concrete surfaces, excellent resistance to weathering, chemical de-icing agents, temporary immunity for oil and some chemicals. It has a high diff usion resistance for CO2 and SO2. Usage: ETERNAL rop–izol coating is designed for interior and exterior coating of concrete substrates, cement screed or lime plaster. It serves as an insulating coating impounding reservoirs or concrete fl oors to capture the leakage of petroleum products into the subsoil, and for coating surfaces potentially contaminated with petroleum products and the surrounding short and some chemicals. The coating is resistant to dilute acids and alkalis (to a maximum concentration of 10 wt.%), kerosene, diesel fuel, heating oil, lubricating oils, gasoline, vegetable and animal fats, detergents, etc. The paint is not designed to isolate these eff ects from permanent chemicals and petroleum products, reliably withstands temporary load that is about 21 days. The paint is suitable for fi nishing concrete fl oors of garages, workshops, warehouses. Resists normal load reliably, but is not suitable for coating fl oors loaded sliding loads. The coating allows a good overlap of concrete cracks to a width of 0.3 mm. Due to the high diff use resistance for CO2 and SO2 ETERNAL rop–izol is suited for insulated and protective corrosion coatings concrete. ETERNAL rop–izol can not be used for coatings placed permanently under water and exposed to long-term high humidity. Not recommended for paints of highly troweled concrete without roughening the surface. Application: ETERNAL rop–izol is applied by a wide brush, painting brush, applicator or roller to the prepared surface. For indoor surfaces, 2 coats are suffi cient for outdoor areas and storage reservoirs 3 coats are needed, the recommended amount of paint should be used, however. The interval between coats is min. 5 hours depending on temperature and humidity of the surroundings. The modifi ed surface can be walked on about 5 hours after the last coat and is is easily loadable after 3 days and completely cured after 7 days. Coats can be applied at temperatures near the surface and 8 °C to 30 °C. For outdoor applications, paint cannot be applied under intense direct sunlight. Tools should be washed with water immediately after usage. ›› 43
