Type the following URL into the Address bar inyour Internet Explorer www.edimax.co.uk and press ‘Enter’.Step 2Type <strong>EW</strong>-<strong>7438RPn</strong> in to the search bar on the website and click ‘GO’This will take you through to the product within the <strong>Edimax</strong> website. You will be taken through to the product details where you will see a breakdown of the product overview,features and specifications.Please locate the ‘Download Area’ tab within this page by scrolling to the bottom on the web page.Step 3Within the download area you will see the underlined word ‘<strong>Firmware</strong>’ which you will need to click on once.This will take you through to the <strong>Firmware</strong> location for the <strong>EW</strong>-<strong>7438RPn</strong>. The following window will appear:FirefoxInternet ExplorerYou want to save the file on to the desktop or a save location you will remember easily.*Note that you will need to drag the .bin file out of the .zip folder.Step 41) Disconnect your computer from your broadband/router. Connect your computer to the LAN port of<strong>EW</strong>-<strong>7438RPn</strong>.2) Or if you use wireless, connect your computer wirelessly to the Wifi ‘extender*****’.3) Open the Internet Explorer/Safari/any browser, at the address bar typehttp://extenderxxxxxx/contool.asp . For example: http://extender3a8270/contool.asp. 4) Look under <strong>Upgrade</strong> section, click Browse button, select the firmware file (eg:<strong>EW</strong>7438RPN.1.xx.bindownloaded on computer), and click Open. Then, click Apply to upgrade.When the upgrade is complete you can switch the repeater off and back on again.The <strong>Firmware</strong> upgrade is now complete!
