Georg Wolfunderstood the potential of stainless steel in surgicalinstruments and optics.Theodor Mohwinckel suggested that he should bethe Italian distributor and the story of Wolf andMovi has endured for over a century. It spans 3more generations and has generated positivebusiness relationships that have endured evenduring two world wars. Theodor Mohwinckelproudly introduced to Italy the first urology endoscopesmade by Georg Wolf in Berlin. In 1914, the company was confiscated by the ItalianGovernment because of its German origins. In 1922, Theodor Mohwinckel came back fromexile in Switzerland at the age of 63. He boughtback the company from the government andincreased the number of Wolf products sold inItaly, expanding the range to ENT applications.
