REPLACING EVIL WITH GOODconspiracies. Stay on the sidelines in this fight. Get involved in someother cause, such as bake sales or visiting the old folks home. Youhave to demonstrate that you are a worthy follower before anyone isgoing to believe that you are a potential leader. You need to "waittables" for a few years, the way deacons should before becomingelders (Acts 6:2).ConclusionAs anyone can see, there is a great deal to be done. There is thereforea great deal that anyone can do at several levels. Anyone who asksrhetorically, "But what can I do?" now has some very specificanswers. This rhetorical question is not to become an excuse forinaction. If you do nothing now, you have no excuse.Do I expect a flood of thousands of letters from dedicated people whohave decided to get involved in one or more of the projects I havelisted in this chapter? Of course not. Not one person in a hundred, ifthat, will respond <strong>by</strong> letter. But perhaps five or six per hundred whoread this book will begin to do something, even though they neveridentify themselves <strong>by</strong> letter. Maybe a few hundred churches will atleast begin to get involved in stage two, the stage beyond the Christianschool fight and the abortion fight. If there is no response to theconspiracy's challenge, then the Spirit of God will pass over thisgeneration just as surely as He passed over Moses' generation, whichdied in the wilderness. But if just a handful respond in our day, andadopt a vision of victory, then we will be as Joshua's generation:victorious on all fronts. God chooses the foolish of this world toconfound the wise (I Corinthians 1:20). Gideon's experience provesthat it only takes a handful of dedicated righteous people to achieve avictory. So what about you? What will you do? At the very least, begin tomonitor at least one of the special-interest groups of self-anointed eliteplanners. The Appendix gives you the names and addresses of several.Get on some mailing lists and see what they are up to. Find out whothey are, too. Know your enemy. And then discipline yourself tobecome sufficiently efficient to replace him, at least at the local level.Footnotes:http://freebooks.commentary.net/freebooks/docs/html/gnco/html/8.htm (14 of 15) [5/26/2000 1:48:23 PM]
