It’s nice to hear such positivefeedback.• Congratulations to Y.Chen who was recently awarded an Australian Guild of Music <strong>Education</strong>National Award for her piano exam.• We’re thrilled to advise that following auditions for the 2011 Creative Generation Excellence Awardsin Instrumental Music, the following students have been awarded a 2011 Musically OutstandingStudent (MOST) scholarship:--A.Farrell (Cello), A.Rai (Clarinet), B.Kim (Cello), C.Hanson (Cello), C.McIntyre (Bassoon),D.Trigger (Clarinet), E.Buys (Flute/Piccolo), E.Newham (French Horn), J.Gregan (Oboe),J.Pendrith (Clarinet), L.Hawkins (Percussion - tuned and untuned), L.Holloway (Violin),M.Collier-O’Boyle (Violin), N.Free (Double Bass) and V.Mylrea (Alto Saxophone).--Congratulations to all these students.• Over the Easter break, the 2011 Australian Age Swimming Championships were held in Adelaide.Congratulations to A.Gough who won a gold medal and is now the Australian Champion in 12-13years boys 100m breaststroke, won a bronze medal in 12-13 years boys 200m breaststroke and wasa finalist and finished 5th in 12-13 years boys 200m Individual Medley.• M.Gock won a bronze medal in the 12-13 years girls 100m breaststroke at these Championshipsand other <strong>State</strong> <strong>High</strong> students who performed well included T.Rull, O.Breakwell, K.Borgeaud-Moo,D. Taylor and K.Mills. Congratulations to all the <strong>State</strong> <strong>High</strong> students who participated in theseChampionships.• Congratulations to K.Winter on her selection in the South East Queensland Under 15 <strong>School</strong> Girls’Futsal Team which will compete in September.• Congratulations to J.Kumar, A.McSkimming and J.Cuminao for their selection in the Met East Under19 Football Team.• Well done to L.Brown who played the Last Post and the Rouse for Enoggera <strong>State</strong> <strong>School</strong>’s ANZACDay Ceremony. We’re told she did a wonderful job.• Congratulations to S.Sedgman on his selection in the Met East Squash Team which will competein May.• Congratulations to T.Ellyatt and A.Tuala on their selection in the Met East Girls’ Under 19 NetballTeam which will compete in May.• Congratulations to B.Brew on being awarded a four week educational exchange in Germanythrough the <strong>Education</strong>al Exchange Service of the Federal Republic of Germany.• Congratulations to N.Borgeaud-Moo and A.Kudziela on their selection in the Met East Under 15Girls’ Volleyball Team which will compete in May.• Congratulations to the 140 students who participated and earned house points in the 3.3 km BSHSCross Country Interhouse Championship which was held in Musgrave Park before the Easter break.L.Young was a convincing winner of the girls’ race in another course record (11m51). The boys’ raceproved to be ‘a real day out’ for the Cook brothers who blitzed the field.
