Registrar, Punjab and <strong>Haryana</strong> High Court, Chandigarh.Dated Chandigarh the 17th June, 1999.Economy in expenditure absorption of surplus staff of Autonomous Bodies of <strong>Haryana</strong>State.I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to say that the matter regardingabsorption of surplus employees of the following Boards/Corporations in the <strong>Haryana</strong> State hasunder consideration of the Government for some time. The details of these surplus employees (category-wise) from the above institutions isenclosed.3. With a view to absorb such surplus employees, Govt. has decided to create a SurplusStaff cell under the <strong>Chief</strong> <strong>Secretary</strong> to Govt. <strong>Haryana</strong> (in General Services-III Br.). Efforts will bemade to absorb the maximum number of surplus employees through it and it will not be mandatoryfor the Govt. to absorb all the employees in question.4. For this purpose, every. proposal shall have to be brought before the Council of Ministersby the General Administration Department (in General Services-III Br.)5. For the purpose of absorption of the surplus staff the Govt. have decided the followingcourse of action :—(i) Whenever there is any vacancy in the Deptt., the Deptt. would be required to verifyas to whether the post or identical post is available with the surplus staff cell, a listof which is attached alongwith this letter.14
