The Hurricanes havestopped their opponents <strong>12</strong> out <strong>of</strong> 19 times on fourth down through11 <strong>game</strong>s.FOR STARTERSOnly four UM players have started all 11 <strong>game</strong>s this season. Three defensive players (Glenn Cook,Bruce Johnson and Steven Wesley) and only one <strong>of</strong>fensive player (Xavier Shannon) have taken everyopening snap on their respective side <strong>of</strong> the ball heading into the <strong>NC</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>game</strong>. Five players (GraigCooper, Jason Fox, Orlando Franklin, Robert Marve and Anthony Reddick) have started 10 <strong>of</strong> 11 conteststhus far. Against Virginia Tech, Fox snapped a streak <strong>of</strong> 33 straight starts after suffering an ankleinjury at Virginia on Nov. 1.DON’T BLINK NOWWhen <strong>Miami</strong>’s <strong>of</strong>fense gets the ball in its hands, you better not get up out <strong>of</strong> your seat or you might misssomething. Twenty-one <strong>of</strong> UM’s 32 <strong>of</strong>fensive touchdowns this season have come on drives <strong>of</strong> three minutesor shorter, with nine <strong>of</strong> those 32 TDs coming in under a minute. In fact, prior to the Virginia <strong>game</strong>,UM’s longest touchdown drive in terms <strong>of</strong> used <strong>game</strong> clock was only a 4:28-drive resulting in a ShawnbreyMcNeal one-yard rushing touchdown with 4:19 to play in the fourth quarter against Duke.The team’s quick-strike ability was on display against Texas A&M in College Station, when three <strong>of</strong>fensiveTD drives lasted 35 seconds, 27 seconds and eight seconds respectively.Against FSU, UM had two touchdown drives <strong>of</strong> less than 30 seconds, with Travis Benjamin reachingthe endzone on both. His first touchdown was the lone play <strong>of</strong> a seven second drive that saw him scoreon a run early in the second half.
