Antrel Rolle – Arizona Cardinals Defensive Back (vs. New York Giants)Reached the four-tackle mark for the ninth straight <strong>game</strong>, recording six solo stops against New YorkNote: Two former Hurricanes will be in action Monday night when Jonathan Vilma, Jeremy Shockey andthe Saints take on Green Bay in New Orleans.PHILLIPS EXTENDS MIAMI’S UNPRECEDENTED STREAKThe <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Miami</strong> extended its school record streak to 14 consecutive years in which a Hurricanesplayer was chosen in the first round <strong>of</strong> the NFL draft when junior safety Kenny Phillips was selected by theNew York Giants with the 31st pick <strong>of</strong> the 2008 draft. <strong>Miami</strong>'s streak <strong>of</strong> 14 straight years with a first-rounddraft choice is unprecedented in football history. The previous longest streak was nine straight years by the<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Florida (1983-91). The <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Miami</strong>'s string began in 1995 when Warren Sapp wasdrafted in the first round. In the last 14 years, UM has had 33 players drafted in the first round <strong>of</strong> the NFLdraft. Since 1982, <strong>Miami</strong> has had 50 players drafted in the first round <strong>of</strong> the NFL draft.
