REUNION GIVINGWhile class reunions provide the opportunity to celebrate the pastand present, the reunion giving programs enable alumni/ae tocommemorate feelings for Stanford Law School and to demonstratephde in its accomplishments. Current students enjoy theForty-Niner Room, the student lounge built with the proceedsfrom the twenty-fifth reunion effort of the Class of 1949. Manystudents have received scholarship or loan aid provided by thereunion efforts of a number of classes. Other classes haveestablished book funds or supported the Law School in otherways. The generosity of these and other reunion classes hasenabled the Law School to give its students the best legal educationpossible. Law firms, too, are increasinglyestablishing gift fundsto be used to match contributions.Most of these plans aredesigned to encourage the supportof legal education byattorneys.In an era in which the privatesector is increasingly looked tofor support of education, theLaw School gratefully acknowledgesthose corporations, businesses,foundations and lawfirms which made gifts to the1982 Law Fund through matchinggift programs.In a few instances, an individual'sgift was received in 1982but the matching gift was notreceived until 1983.
