TWO III INSTALLING POINTLESSMter personalizing your Pointless disk, the standard GS/OS Installer window willappear, The upper left corner of the Installer window shows the Disk to update,which is the location where Pointless will be installed. This should be the volume nameof your startup disk or hard disk. The installer will copy both Pointless andthe TrueType fonts to your hard disk. Pointless will be pre-configured to use the fontscopied to your hard disk.3.5" Disk InstallationIfyou don't have a hard disk, you can install Pointless on your 3.5" startup disk. Insertthe disk that you use to startup your computer, normally the System Startup disk (if youhave only one disk drive, remove the Pointless disk). Then click on the Disk buttonuntil the startup disk name appears next to Disk to update. Make sure that thePointless selection is highlighted, then click on the Install button.
TWO 11II INSTALLING POINTLESSIfyou have just one disk drive, you will be prompted to alternately insert the Pointlessand startup disks - you will need to switch disks several times, Since the TrueType fontswill not fit on the 3.5" startup disk, Pointless will be pre-configured to use the fonts onthe Pointless disk. This means that whenever you use aTrueType font in any of yourprograms, the computer will prompt you to insert the Pointless disk. You can laterspecify a different location for these fonts, if you wish, by using the Pointless controlpanel to add the fonts at a different location,To Activate Pointless Restart Your ComputerMter successfully completing the installation, the Installer will tell you that '~ updatehas altered system files on the startup disk." To restart the system and activate Pointless,click on the Quit button, then click the Restart System button, Pointless will loadautomatically when GSjOS starts up,At the bottom of the GSjOS startup screen you will see the Pointless icon, verifying thatPointless is loaded and ready to use,19
